"Hide and Seak" - Subterranean Squirrel Hunters
One of our clients described to us how her Dachshund use to spend many happy hours digging for ground squirrels in the backyard. The Dachshunds friend, a Cocker Spaniel, was always there to cheer her on. This painting was particularly challenging because both of the dogs have passed away and there are no existing photos of them. Even without a reference photo to work from, I hope I was able to capture the spirit of their fun game.
